A wide range of extra mural activities is offered, both in school and privately in the village. These include cricket, soccer, hockey, cross-country, hiking, swimming, tennis, horse-riding, mountain-biking and fishing.
All of this is enjoyed against the incomparable back-drop of the Riviersonderend Mountains, the river and farmlands. At Greyton House, the children are encouraged to be environmentally responsible, participating in the river clean-ups, hacks and recycling.
With the wealth of talent in the village, pupils can enjoy tuition in art, chess, sewing and a host of other enriching activities.
Participation in these activities is strongly encouraged. Every pupil is offered the opportunity to represent Greyton House at occasional inter-schools events, such as athletics, triathlon, galas, cricket, soccer and hockey matches. Whilst the emphasis is on good sportsmanship and enjoyment of the sport rather than on an all-out victory, our little school has often amazed its larger opponents by walking off with the prize.
